Coons
By Alicia Bonus
Two brothers and sisters follow,
With bandit masks and course fur.
I will bite, scratch and claw you
All in our nest where we lurk.
Come meet me in the litter
Where we will hop, skip and jump.
We will frolic and will climb
And then fall with a great thump!
Leaving footprints in the mud
Is how I would make my mark,
Scourging through the thick garbage,
Reminiscing in the dark.
We are angels by morning,
And we are thieves late at night.
Mama is so proud of us
That we are doing alright.
With bandit masks and course fur.
I will bite, scratch and claw you
All in our nest where we lurk.
Come meet me in the litter
Where we will hop, skip and jump.
We will frolic and will climb
And then fall with a great thump!
Leaving footprints in the mud
Is how I would make my mark,
Scourging through the thick garbage,
Reminiscing in the dark.
We are angels by morning,
And we are thieves late at night.
Mama is so proud of us
That we are doing alright.
